Getting Started
What is Magic Pen Pals?
Magic Pen Pals is a subscription service that delivers personalized, AI-written letters to your child from a magical pen pal character they choose. Each letter arrives in the mail with stickers, surprises, and a prepaid return envelope so your child can write back.
What age is this best for?
We have pals suited for children ages 5-12. Each character is designed for a specific age range, so the content matches your child's reading level and interests.
How do I get started?
Simply choose a pal character, share a few details about your child (name, age, interests), and subscribe. Your child's first letter will be on its way within a few days.
Can my child switch pals?
Yes! You can switch your child's pen pal at any time from the parent dashboard. The new pal will introduce themselves in the next letter.
Letters & Delivery
How often do letters arrive?
Your child receives one letter per month — that's 12 letters per year. Letters are timed so there's always something to look forward to.
Does my child need to write back?
Writing back is encouraged but not required! The pen pal will continue sending letters regardless. When your child does write back, the pen pal's next letter will reference what they said.
What comes in each letter?
Each letter includes a personalized multi-page letter, stickers, a prepaid return envelope, and occasionally a small surprise like a bookmark, activity sheet, or tiny toy.
How long does shipping take?
First letters typically arrive within 5-7 business days. Subsequent letters arrive monthly. All shipping is included in your subscription.
Safety & Privacy
Is this safe for kids?
Absolutely. Every outgoing letter is reviewed by a trained human moderator before printing. We are fully COPPA compliant, and parents have full visibility into all correspondence through the parent dashboard.
What data do you collect?
We collect your child's first name, age, and interests to personalize letters, plus a mailing address for delivery. No data is ever sold or shared with third parties.
Can I see the letters before they're sent?
All letters are available in your parent dashboard after they ship. You can also set content preferences and boundaries in advance.
Billing & Subscriptions
How much does it cost?
Magic Pen Pals is $7/month per child, or $42/year (50% off). The plan includes everything — shipping, return envelopes, stickers, and surprises.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, absolutely. There are no contracts or commitments. Cancel anytime from your parent dashboard and you won't be charged again.
What about multiple children?
Each child gets their own subscription and exclusive pen pal at $7/month each.
